Dear Friends,

A few years ago, I had so many clothes -- it was ridiculous.  I was telling a friend how I wanted to create a line of clothing that could be mixed + matched and worn different ways. (Still a dream of mine!)  She asked me, “Have you heard of a capsule wardrobe?” That moment changed my life. At first, it was a step towards simplifying my life but as time went by, my eyes were open to the dirty secrets of what my consumption habits were doing to the environment.  Mind blown. As the founder of Patagonia Yvon Chouinard said, “The more you know, the less you need.”

It is my hope that this month’s Collective will equip you to take some necessary steps to make changes where it’s needed and encourage you in the steps you are already taking.  I invite you to embrace the process -- We don’t need a handful of people living consciously perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.
