FEAST OF TABERNACLES CELEBRATION (SUKKOT)
OCTOBER 9TH-16TH, 2022
Let’s celebrate and worship the Lord together! Our family will be tent camping on our property for the whole week. All are welcome to join us for any portion of it or for the entire week. Though we do have some obligations to attend to during the days (except for Friday and Saturday), we plan to gather each evening for an activity. Join us all day Friday and Saturday if you’d like. It will be an unstructured time to relax, read, study together, pray, play, bask in God’s goodness, etc.
We have plenty of room for tents in our pasture. We can also find a few spaces for campers/RVs, no hook-ups. We have a working bathroom in our house and may potentially have our compost toilet in the pasture area up and running by this time. (Note: If you are looking to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in a different location, here is a list of events I found.)
Location: Lone Pine (Edwards Home), 7194 County Road 196, Joplin, MO 64801

It is our hope to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all ages to remember what God has done, is doing, and will do. Though our homes here on earth are temporary dwellings, we can look to an everlasting dwelling with our Creator and Savior. That is something worth celebrating, HalleluYah!
*If you've never celebrated Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles or know very little about it, I posted a video on the page that gives a short and fun explanation. I'm also more than happy to share Scriptures for you to dive into and other resources. Just let me know :-)
In the New Testament, Jesus attended the Feast of Tabernacles and spoke these remarkable words on the last and greatest day of the Feast:
"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." (John 7:37-38, NIV)
The next morning, while the torches were still burning Jesus said:
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8:12, NIV)
