tribute to 2015 brides
The remaining photographs of the 2015 weddings I was apart of have finally stopped rolling in. The first time I look through them, I get so excited to see everything as if it was my own wedding. The second time, I scour through them to find those spectacular pictures that are a must for my portfolio. The third time and on is when I start to relive these moments, these special days.
I am fortunate to do wedding hair, makeup, and styling. Not many vendors get to spend as much time with the bride as I do, especially at one of the most exciting times, the morning of her oh so important day. I have the capability to set the tone for the day, which in some ways can be a lot of pressure, but mostly it means I can love on her and the important women in her life, be excited with her, help calm any fear or stress, hear her wants and needs that make her feel beautiful, have fun, and so much more. It is a wonderful thing.
On the flip side, I think about how many amazing women who have blessed me. Each of these pictures represent a one of a kind story and each story is different. They have included trekking through snowstorms, working around a hurricane, welcoming a life, saying goodbye to a loved one, laughing so hard we almost peed our pants, dancing and singing the night away, holding back tears as memories are brought to the surface, smiling from ear to ear, waking up before the sun comes up, taking shots, drinking mimosas, chugging water because we're so dehydrated, downing coffee because we're so exhausted, having life changing conversations about past, present, and future, meeting people you want to be best friends with, seeing incredible views, working in incredible locations, and so much more. These are the stories of 2015. I am forever grateful to each and every one of the.
Big hugs to all these beautiful brides and to a team who gives up weekends and early morning sleeping... Chesney, Monica, Cindy, and Sharaiah XOXO
And to the four other lovely brides Brenda, Bethany, Ashleigh, and Libby.
