Summer Smoke Eye

Well summer is over and fall has kicked in but it's not too late to use this look.  It accentuates those beautiful, warm, fall colors!  By using warm tones and shimmery textures in your makeup, you allow light to come through and bring features "forward".  Just be sure not to overdo the shimmer as it can also accentuate any texture in the skin.  If you've been wanting to do a smokey eye but you are afraid you will get the black eye effect, this look is perfect for you!

- Apply a primer or a base to the entire eyelid.  Spread evenly.  Here I used MAC Painterly Paint Pot.

- Apply a medium color, copper tone shimmery shadow to the crease with a fluffy blending brush.  Use a small amount of product and go back and forth from outer to inner eye.

& 4 - Apply a dark color, brown/gold shimmery shadow to the outer corner of the crease with a fluffy blending brush.  Use a small amount of product and and apply in small, circular motions just in the outer corner.

- Apply a light, neutral satin shadow under the arch of the eyebrow with a synthetic flat brush.  Pat the product in gently.

- Apply a medium color, copper tone shimmery shadow underneath the lash line with a crease brush.

- Outline your entire eye, as close to the lash line as possible, with a brown khol pencil (a pencil that is meant to smudge).

- With you crease brush, smudge the eye khol to create a softer look.

- Apply mascara.
