Pam + Robert: 40 Years & I Still Do
This was a really special event for me. I had the honor and privilege to do hair and makeup for my Aunt's "wedding" in New Mexico. My aunt and uncle where married when they were 16 years old and never had a wedding. So for their 40th anniversary, their kids (my cousins) planned a full on, gorgeous ceremony & reception. It was so fun and so incredibly memorable. I think we should have a big anniversary party at least every 10 years, right?! I mean, as a female, you always say, "Well, if I were to do it again, I'd do it like this...." And now that we have pinterest, oh boy! Party every year!
If was full, fun day of hair and makeup at my cousin's house! My mom was my aunts Maid of Honor. My aunt's daughter and two daughter-in-laws were the bridesmaids, and her two granddaughters were the junior bridesmaid & flower girl. I also groomed the ring bearers. My cousin Wendy made all the hair pieces. So many times, ladies with short hair feel like they can't get there hair professionally done for special occasions. This is such a false statement. Three of these ladies (Mom, Crystal, and Jamie) had short hair and they were some of favorite looks from all year! We keep everything sleek on the sides and back and created volume based, starchy curls throughout the top. For Wendy and Pam, we keep it sleek on top with curls in the back. The makeup was fresh skin but a good amount of contour and highlighting. Smokey eyes in plums with a soft pink lip.
I love all the details put into this wedding and I just love my family! Blessed!
